Cut asparagus into 5 cm sections and parboil them for 5-6 minutes and drain. Heat stock in a small saucepan. Add asparagus and simmer in the stock for 5 minutes. Turn asparagus several times so it will cook evenly. Heat oil in a wok and add garlic. Stir-fry over medium heat for a minute, then add asparagus, stock and noodles and mix them for a couple of minutes. Transfer to bowls and dot with butter and sprinkle with soya sauce.
