I made the banana version on a carrot cake. Very delicious.

Cream Cheese Frosting

8 ounces cream cheese -- softened

8 tablespoons butter -- softened

2 tablespoons honey -- up to 4T

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 cup chopped nuts -- (optional)

Beat cream cheese and butter until fluffy. Beat in honey to taste. Add vanilla

and nuts. Keep refrigerated. Delicious on carrot

cake!

 

Banana-Nut. Omit the honey, or use only 2T. Beat in one small ripe banana.

Add nuts. Chill to spreading consistency. Decorate

frosted cake with banana or raisins.

 

Tinted. Add 1/4 to 1/2 cup unsweetened crushed raspberries, blueberries or

strawberries. If desired, arrange whole berries or

fresh sliced strawberries in a design on top of the cake.

 

Butterless. Omit butter. Thawed orange or apple juice concentrate may be

substituted for the honey. Omit vanilla.
