Place potato slices in a single layer on the unheated rack of a broiler pan. Brush butter mixture on both sides of the potato mixture. Broil, about 5 inches form the heat for 8 to 9 minutes unti the potatoes begin to brown. Turn postatoes using a wide spatula. Sprinkle with cheese.
