Guest guest Posted November 6, 2000 Report Share Posted November 6, 2000 * Exported from MasterCook * Pita Crisps Recipe By : Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Appetizers Breads Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 6 " pita breads 2 teaspoons butter 1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese 2 teaspoons dried oregano Position the broiler rack 4-5 inches from the heating element and pre- heat the broiler. Split the pitas horizontally into 2 rounds. Place the halves on an ungreased baking sheet with the rough sides up. Lightly spread them with butter. Toss together the cheese and oregano in a small bowl. Sprinkle over hte butter. Use kitchen shears to cut each pita half into 6 wedges. Broil for about 2 minutes or until the wedges are lightly browned and the the cheese is melted. Watch closely!
