Guest guest Posted November 2, 2000 Report Share Posted November 2, 2000 * Exported from MasterCook * Dried Cranberry Sauce Recipe By : Vegetarian Times Complete Thanksgiving Cookbook, page 91 Serving Size : 8 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Fruits Sauces And Marinades Vegetarian Times Thanksgiving Menu 7 Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 cup dried cranberries 1 cup red wine 1 cup water 1/4 cup maple syrup 1 tablespoon cornstarch dissolved in 2 tablespoons water MAKES 8 SERVINGS (2 cups) This sauce imparts a wine and berry flavor that's a lovely accompaniment to the Butternut Squash Tarts (see separate recipe). Combine cranberries, wine, water and syrup in a saucepan; bring to a boil and simmer 5 minutes. Stir in cornstarch mixture and simmer an additional 5 minutes.
