Guest guest
This is my own vegan recipe that I have tweaked until I got it perfect (for my taste). I hope you like it. I like it on veggies, pasta, baked potatoes, rice. Makes a great mac'n cheese. It takes about 3 minutes to make and you can freeze it. 2TB nutritional yeast (check to be sure it's vegan, some contain whey) 2TB flour (use a whisk to add) 4-6 heaping TB of vegan margarine 2 1/2 tsp salt 6 tsp lemon juice (or more for a more tangy taste) Soymilk (enough to put about 2-3 inches in a typical saucepan) Shake or two of Turmeric for a cheesy color (optional) Combine all ingredients. Simmer on medium to low heat until thickened. You can adjust the amounts of any ingredient to suit your taste. I put this over cooked macaroni and put into a casserole dish, cover in bread crumbs and a little more butter and bake at 350 for about 20 minutes. I love this stuff! My nonveg friends love this too.
