Guest guest
About trick or treating. My daughter is 3 1/2. For the last 2 years, we drove to a selected number of good friends houses. Whether vegan or not, they all know we are and that I wanted my daughter to have a fun halloween experience. I asked them not to go out of their way, but a few pennies, an apple (at home I switched a non-organic with an organic), a pencil, etc. Now, I didn't want them to do this, but 3 different friends went out and got all this " stuff " - stuff that I'd be happy she not have, like a little plastic halloween ring, a balloon, a basket with a cloth pumpkin on it, etc. (I only buy my daughter wood and metal toys!). This all made her and our friends very happy. We also go in and visit at most of these places, so we only have time for about 5 visits. It's a lot of fun, and makes it a social occasion, too. Hope that helps! Amie
Guest guest
Dip recipes for birthday party: Lots of kids like hummous. Also try " Gee Whiz " in the Uncheese Cookbook by Joanne Stepaniak, there is also a great artichoke heart dip in there as well. Good luck, we will also be having a first for kids birthday party for my soon to be 4 year old! Amie -
