Hello People of the Vegan World !!!

I've just moved to the US from India....and am having a tough time finiding

vegan food.....i've to spend hours at the stores to buy the food.

In india...they had come up with a symbol method to differntiate the vegan food

from the non veg...... with a " green color " symbol on the packet......

wish they coud do the same here in US.....OR is there a way already ??

Pls advice .....By the way....can anyone pls help me how I can shop for vegan

food fast ?

I am in Seattle area.

Thankyou and Regards,

Nitin

Here in California we have a green " V " or " vegan " sign in a circle somewhere on

the label. Usually lite life foods are vegan so are tofurkey brands and tofutti

.. Unfortunately when buying processed foods you always need to read the label

because sometimes they are not vegan. Personally after a year as vegan we rely

on as unprocessed foods as we can get - tofu, soy milk, beans, rice, whole

grains and loads of fruit and veggies. Tempeh and seiten are vegan and a nice

alternative occassionally. Good luck - It is a challenge sometimes which can be

very frustrating.

Take care
