Guest guest
Hehe - just had to share. We're visiting my (Texan, meat-loving) inlaws. They mean well, but they don't always get the concept of " vegetable " vs. " former animal " . My sister-in-law was playing with one of my two-year-old's toys, and it had a picture of a bowl of catfood with a fish in it. S-I-L said, " is that dinner? Yum, fish! " to which my daughter replied, " no eat fish! Only eat FOOD! Fish like to stay in water. No eat them. " Then she proceeded to list what we do eat - " beans, rice, tofu, tomatoes, all good food - but not fish! " The best thing (to me) is that we've never talked about any vegetarian-related things - I'm not sure she even knows the word. And she managed to figure out that fish don't want us to eat them. (Kids are smart. My five-year-old cousin just went veg on his own after forcing his mom to explain where meat came from!)

Guest guest
Hi Catherin. My 4 year old comes up with the funniest things when telling people what we do and don't eat. Her latest is that bears and lions eat meat because they don't have grocery stores! Thought you'd appreciate the humor! be gentle with the earth faith Catharin Meadors <bokodasu wrote: Hehe - just had to share. We're visiting my (Texan, meat-loving) inlaws.
