Guest guest
Madeline, Give 'Almond Breeze' almond milk a try. We tried all the varieties of soy and rice milks, and it's what finally convinced DH to stop drinking the cow stuff. I am bothered about alot of the issues surrounding dairy so I limit my consumption to organic milk in glass bottles from a small local farm (yes-pastuerized, though I don't know if I'd care if it wasn't). I still don't feel good about it and we really limit (1 litre every 2 weeks) consumption. In fact, I only use it in my one cup of tea per day. I am working on becoming vegan. However, I hate all types of soy milk-too thick, creamy, sweet and though I use rice milk for other purposes it just doesn't do it for tea. My 5 year old only drinks rice or soy or other.> :)Madeline
Guest guest
Thanks, Bonnie. I will. I hate the guilt I have over the dairy. > " Bonnie Barker " <bebarker96 > > >Re: Milks (was Family Farms and animal products) >Mon, 30 May 2005 20:53:47 -0400 > >Madeline, Give 'Almond Breeze' almond milk a try. Guest guest
Don't beat yourself up.......I still can't beat the cheese or ice cream habit. I've limited the cheese to only at restaurants. I don't buy it for the house. I'm trying to eliminate the ice cream too. My 5 year old daughter is lactose intolerant and dairy also makes her wet the bed, so this is my incentive to get all dairy out of the house. Now my husband is another story. Oh how I wish I could get him to stop the dairy. Even his Dr. told him to cut back on the dairy. Of course this is the same man who cooks up several slabs of beef a week to eat. I just can't convince him........I guess you can't teach an old dog new tricks. Kelly Madeline White <madeline_killian wrote: Thanks, Bonnie. I will.
