Guest guest
Hi! My name is Tanja and I am new to the group. I am a SAHM of four. Not all of us are vege and 3 of my kids and my husband have food allergies! So I can adapt almost any recipe, but coming up with ideas can be challenging! In answer to Janette's, question, there is a book called the Vegetarian Lunch box that has some helpful ideas about lunch. I'll find the author if you need it. There is also a vegetarian slow cooker book called The vegetarian Slow Cooker by Joanna White. Also, dieting as a vegetarian really isn't difficult. I've lost 60 lbs in just under two years. Most diet plans are not practical and do not give you lasting results. What you need is a life style change. Start with eliminating juice and soda. Both can cause bloating and contain huge amounts of calories. Drink the recommended 8 glasses of water a day or more. You'll be surprised how much better you'll feel with just one change. Once you are comfortable with that, make another change. One to two lbs a week is healthy. If this sounds like something that will work for you, I'll be glad to give you more ideas and answer questions. Tanja
