You might have too much, rather than not enough, in your water supply. Remember, it's cumulative: you also get in in bottled drinks, etc., or any other packaged item that is made with water from some other municipality. 4) Is there a history of bad teeth on either side of the family? Genetics is a powerful force, no matter how healthy your diet. FWIW, my holistic dentist has come round to believing that topical (vs. systemic) flouride treatment is in fact worth doing because a lifetime of healthy teeth -- fewer fillings, etc. -- is ultimately safer.
