Guest guest
IDear Carol, It's interesting, that the Asperger's diagnosis applies to kids who have some degree of " tone-deafness " to ordinary, superficial social discourse, like interpersonal space, eye contact, and tone-of-voice and conversational skills. What I've seen with my son and others with his challenges is that emotions run deep, and there are times he startles me with his empathy. It's that empathy that doesn't allow him to be deaf to the suffering of animals consumed in the machine of the food industry. I wouldn't trade him for anything.
