Hi, I have a 6year old who gets severly anemic if he does not eat

right for a while..usually in a week or so..he is 6 1/2 43 inches

tall and only 45 pounds..he is in a 4 clothes and still in a toddler

car seat...and he doesn't eat very well..anyhow..I found that the

baby cereal..the gerber kind in the box on the top shelf is a

WONDERFUL way to get the iron..only 1/4 cup of cereal with any kind

of juice-milk-water-applesauce-pudding-get what I mean...will give

them 60% of their iron for the day..It REALLY works for

Dougie...also they have different flavors with different fruit in

them...and they do have some in the jars...make sure it is cereal

though..because NOTHING has iron in it..I spent 3 hours doing

nothing but looking at lables in the store..If you have anymore

questions you can email me lildewey ...I have done alot

of research on the iron thing..because dougie has 2 heart murmmers

and was told by his cardiologist that if anyone gets a viral

infection it goes and can sit on the heart and be passed through

with the blood..on someone with a murmmer it will sit there and

cause problems when he gets older..sooner heart dieses that sort of

thing...and when his iron goes down his eyes get dark underneath and

he starts getting run down.but he actually acts hyper..thats when I

break out the cereal...now if he is feeling yucky..he will ask for

his medicine cereal..not baby cereal in this house...oh yeah did I

mention he HATES the taste of the iron drops...EEEEEEEWWWWWWW...so I

had to compromise..sorry about the enovel but this is something I

know about and I am glad to help someone else in the same

boat..Thanks again Julie
