kidney bean burgers

I got the recipe out of a vegan cook book - I wish I could remember which one.

It's VERY simple.

mash 2 1/2 cups cooked kidney beans

add 1/2 oats

2T braggs (or tamari or soy sauce)

mix & form into patties. (we make 5 big patties because there are 5 in our

house!!)

fry in oil till brown on both sides.

My changes - I like to add garlic & onion powder and pepper to the mix.

Sometimes I'll add fresh garlic. The burgers like to fall apart, so I add a

little oil or extra braggs to the mix as well. We always top with 'normal'

burger stuff like onions, tomatoes, pickles, etc.

Good luck!
