Thanks for all the advice. I don't think his problem came from

arthritis, he's had the licking problem on and off for a long time.

He's always been a bit neurotic with some very strange habits. I've

been cleaning the leg and putting an antibiotic ointment on it, and

today I've started the sock idea. So far he's left it alone for the

most part. What do I do with the tea tree oil? I'm sure I need to

mix it with something to make a salve?

OOOOOHHHHH be VERY careful with EOs for animals. Best to go to the

library or at the least Google. If he eats it....well, I don't

know, but I know a lot of EOs are toxic to animals.
