Section1}I wanted to send this over our group to see if anyone would be

interested in being a " host family " for this student. If anyone has some space

in their house to keep her through the school year I'm sure it would be a

wonderful experience for you. . I personally would love to have her, but w/ a

new baby on the way and the house projects we are taking on I'm afraid it just

wouldn't be the right time to do this. She is vegetarian so it would only make

sense for her to try and find someone that is as well. If you or anyone you

know may be

interested, please read the e-mail below and contact Julia Harrell.

Take care ..

Hosting Opportunity-German Student

Dear Tori,

Here is a little information about the German student that we discussed on the

phone.

The student is a 16 year old girl that is from Biberach, Germany. She will be

here in the U.S. on full scholarship through the U.S. Congress and the German

Bundestag. The CB program is a goodwill exchange that the two countries do every

year. She will live with a host family during her stay and attend a public high

school. She is a vegetarian and so I thought you may have some interest in

hosting in your group. She is a straight A student with many interests, speaks

four languages and would like to do a community service project with young

children or some other project during her stay.

In order to host a student, the family must provide her with a bed (she can

share a room with someone of the same sex within a few years), meals when she is

at home, transportation to school (which can be the bus, etc.) She will have her

own spending money and is covered with insurance through our organization for

medical expenses.

If you have anyone that is interested in more information about her or the

program, please have them call me at 704-563-5976.

Thanks so much for your help!
