I live in Missouri so I am not much help for rescue places back East.

Here we have a rescue ranch for farm and large animals. It is operated

through Missouri Humane Society. The animals can live there until they

are adopted or die of natural causes. I have a potbellied pig, a

rooster, and a hen that I have adopted from them.

If it weren't so hot I would suggest kidnapping the rooster and 24 hour

FedExing him down here and I could take him to the Missouri Humane

Society Long Meadow Rescue Ranch. (there might be some legal

ramifications in that though!)

I am thinking PETA is in your general area and they should know who

rescues farm animals in your neck of the woods. You can look up their

number on their website.

I do not know exactly where you are but I you said you are in a city

and I bet farm animals are not allowed in your zoning.

Good luck!
