Guest guest
Well, first of all, I want to thank everyone for the suggestions for places to eat in Manhattan. I had a great time. I basically put the veggie restaurants on a map, and went from one to the next and that's how we saw Manhattan. I can't remember who suggested Bachue' (maybe even on another list entirely!) but it had shut down, unfortunately. I was hoping the Whole Earth Bakery (or some similar name) would be more like classic, bad-for-you-but-oh-so-good baked goods, but many things were sugar and wheat free, so they were a little bland. Of course, I realize the benefit this bakery offers! I was just hoping for something more indulgent. I really liked Zen Palate - we ate upstairs and it was great. Some had mentioned that it was sort of " greasy spoon " but I think that must've been referring to the downstairs which is sort of cafe style. We had some yummy crepes at Quintessence (raw food), and ate a the veg*n Indian restaurant, and at Vegetarian House of Dim Sum. It was so great to have entire menus to choose from! Anyway, I'm posting now because I might finally be getting the hell out of Orlando and hopefully moving to Seattle!!!! I have a job interview in 2 weeks. I am wondering if anyone knows Seattle or lives there, so I can start to build a local community and get a bit of input for good areas to look for housing, not too expensive.... Thanks, Doh --------- " We have enough youth. What we need is a Fountain of Smart. " ~Anonymous
