Guest guest Posted April 15, 2004 Report Share Posted April 15, 2004 Some time ago, there was a post on this group about making butter. Last night, my husband and I attended a cooking class. The chef works with Christina Pirello on her TV show, so I asked him about vegan butter. He said you can puree silken tofu with a " tiny " bit of lemon juice or umeboshi vinegar and it makes a spread that can be used in place of butter. Adding a little turmeric will give it a yellow color. Then he suggested olive oil instead! Just thought I'd pass it along! Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
