Guest guest
Hello, Does anyone have tried and true recipes for vegan marshmallows? I ordered some ready made ones from the Pangea website but I would also like to figure out how to make them. I understand that it can be tricky to get the mix just right. Will I be spending as much money on ingredients (plus my own energy) by making them myself instead of buying them from Pangea for $4.00 a bag. We live in the country and we have campfires frequently. The kids love cooking outside. Also, someone there is someone on this website who lives in St. Charles, MO. I was going to try to meet her as I am nearby (in St. Clair, MO) but my husband operated on the computer and I think I lost the e-mail. Thanks, Teresa
Guest guest
Speaking of marshmallows, FWIW we've gotten the Pangea ones and think they're great. An omnivore we know has tried them and thinks they taste better than " real " marshmallows. We haven't tried the Vegan Essentials ones, so we can't speak to those. As for making your own, this list went through a flurry of recipes a few years back, but it seems like most everyone agreed that making them is terribly time consuming and tough on your mixer. Guest guest
I have been dying to try the ones from Pangea, but everytime I have gone to order them, they are sold out. I have tried the Vegan Supreme Marshmallows and they were wonderful! They melted great in hot cocoa, but were a liquidy mess on sweet potatoes. We have tried both the Pangea and Vegan Essentials marshmallows, and we *much* prefer the Vegan Essentials ones. They are by far the best marshmallows I've ever eaten, vegetarian or not. ---- Patricia Bullington-McGuire <patricia The brilliant Cerebron, attacking the problem analytically, discovered three distinct kinds of dragon: the mythical, the chimerical, and the purely hypothetical. They were all, one might say, nonexistent, but each nonexisted in an entirely different way ... -- Stanislaw Lem, " Cyberiad "
