Guest guest
Hi, Does anyone know of a heavy type cream that is vegan and turns into butter when shaken? My son's preschool teacher pulled me aside to let me know that they are " making butter " next week. Apparently they just use a heavy cream that turns into butter when shaken. After the kids make the butter, they'll eat it on crackers or bread as a snack. She asked if I could bring something in that my son could eat. I know I can just send in some soybutter from home. However, I thought it would be nice if there was a vegan alternative that my son could make and eat as well...so if anyone knows of one, and where it could be purchased, I'm all ears. Thanks in advance, Lissa Egardeners
Guest guest
Lissa - I don't know if this would turn into butter. You should probably try it at home first to make sure it works so your son isn't disappointed. http://www.differentdaisy.com/nexternalhtml/vegan-heavy-cream.htm Good Luck ~Marvelyn > Does anyone know of a heavy type cream that is vegan and turns > into butter when shaken? Pangea <www.pangeaveg.com> sells a vegan heavy cream substitute. I've never shaken it so I don't know if it will turn into " butter " , but it's worth a try. I would send soy margarine as a back-up just in case, though. ---- Patricia Bullington-McGuire <patricia The brilliant Cerebron, attacking the problem analytically, discovered three distinct kinds of dragon: the mythical, the chimerical, and the purely hypothetical.
