Replying to three different messages here, sorry if

it's confusing.

Yes, I was veg and my husband omni before we met. He's

been eating less and less meat over the years, which

is nice, although he still gets meat when we eat out

and occasionally cooks it when I'm not home. Works for

us, anyway. And he's 100% supportive of our daughter

being vegetarian - he even told me how shocked he was

when another mother we know fed her daughter (the same

age as ours) meat, because it just seemed so wrong to

do to a baby.

Re: Turmeric - it's good for your bones, protects

against osteoporosis (sp?), and does something else I

can't remember, possibly joint-related? It's

especially good for pregnant/nursing women. Plus it

turns things pretty colors, and is tasty.

Re: kosher gelatin - this is NOT vegetarian. (Well,

there's a teensy tiny chance it is, but go on the

assumption it's not.) Usually made of fish bones.

Colombo is a yucky brand of yogurt that doesn't use

gelatin (but is easy to find, in a pinch) - Stonyfield

Farms and Trader Joe's store brand are two yummy

brands that don't use it. Still check every package -

sometimes some flavors will use it and others won't.

(You're safe with Stonyfield Farms and Trader Joe's,

but I think some of the configurations of Colombo

might have gelatin.)

Thank you. I have used it for a long time, but I didn't know what good it did,

other than taste good.
