Guest guest
I was hospitalized with a migraine that lasted over a month about ten years ago. They gave me a caffeine drip and it almost immediately went away. They gave me another caffeine drip the next morning and the headache returned. I was never much of a caffeine drinker before -- but I do find now that it helps to have a cup or two when a headache starts. I give a small cup of tea to my one daughter who has frequent headaches rather than Tylenol or Motrin and it seems to do her well. Of course too much caffeine can also cause headaches so a happy medium needs to be found for each person.
Guest guest
This is very timely - my 12 yo daughter has suffered occasional migraines for the past year, but is currently going through a particularly bad spell - migraines approx. every other day. Almost always with visual disturbances. She likes the taste of coffee, although I've never let her have a whole cup of it (just sips of mine) because I thought coffee was somehow bad for children. If it would help alleviate her horrible headaches though, I will gladly make a cup of coffee for her. Thank you so much for this tip.
