Our furnace died and can't be repaired. We have pretty much decided on which

furnace we are getting. It's an 80% variable BTU. We are unsure about a whole

house air cleaner that can be installed at the time of the furnace. It's a

Honeywell and it's supposed to trap particles down to 0.3 microns. Dh has

allergies and I have the worlds worst sinus'. According to the salesman, this

will help us.

We are looking for real life experience to make this decision. Does anybody

have any experience with these whole house air cleaners? Are they worth the

money? (about 700.00 at the time furnace is installed) Do they help with air

quality? Does anybody have a family member in the heating biz that would know?

Also, tell me if I am off base with this but I was thinking if we do decide to

go with the furnace and air cleaner from this company would I be out of line

asking them to throw in duct cleaning in the spring for free? (about a 250.00

value) After all we will be spending 4000.00 on the furnace and air cleaner.

All opinions and experiences welcome.

Thanks ladies,

~*~*~Mitzi
