Guest guest
This is really a minor issue, but still kind of an annoying one. My stepfather thinks it would be HILARIOUS if my daughter's first word were " meat " . Whenever she visits, any babbling on her part is met with " MEAT. MEEEAAAAT. M-E-A-T. Say, 'meat'! " Nobody else (including the other meat-eaters in the family) thinks this is especially funny, but dead silence and a change of subject doesn't seem to be getting through. I don't want to reward his irritating behavior by rising to the bait, either. I've considered either just flat-out telling him to knock it off (and risking escalating similar stupid jokes in the future) or asking my mom to have a word with him, which would probably work better but seems like kind of a cop-out. (Nope, when she gets older, she's not allowed to have just Gramps babysit. His idea of a joke would be to feed her a ham sandwich. Not funny!) Guest guest
See if this were me i would tell him to knock it off.... im also very blunt... and if i dont like something ur doing with my kid your gonna know....thats jus me... maybe having your mom talk to him would be best especially if you wanna remain non confrontational.... either way if you want it to stop it seems as the subtle hints gotta stop and someone has to step up and say something..be it you or your mother... , Boko Dasu <bokodasu> wrote: > This is really a minor issue, but still kind of an > annoying one.
