Welcome Barbara -

I got several suggestions when I asked this question. I am 39 weeks today. I

have been taking the Vegan Essentials Prenatal Vitamin. I also take the

Omega Zen supplement from them too. It is a vegan source of Omega 3's. My

doctor was concerned when I told her I would not eat fish. Both can be

ordered online at www.veganessentials.com.

I also recommend reading Toni Weschler's book Taking Charge of your

Fertility. A couple people from this group recommended it to me when we were

trying to get pregnant. Excellent book!!! I will be using it again after the

baby arrives as a birth control method too.

Introduction

Hello all,

I'd like to introduce myself as a new list member

(though I had lurked for a while before before signing

off to handle a big move). I know this list is going

to be an extremely helpful resource.

My husband (vegetarian for three years) and I

(vegetarian for 10 years, vegan for three) are now

trying to conceive. I have some anxiety about dealing

with family and physicians, but for the moment I just

have one question--Can anyone recommend a good vegan

prenatal vitamin? Also, we are in Austin, Texas, and I

wouldn't mind hearing from my neighbors!

Thanks, and I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

Barbara
