Guest guest
Hello good people, A friend who lives in Frederick has just been diagnosed with breast cancer. She is a widow with no family to speak of, and is caring for her 90 y/o MIL. Her daughter lives far away. We don't yet know what the treatment will be, but she obviously will need help, even if it is " only " a lumpectomy and radiation. The MIL is threatening suicide if moved into a nursing home, which is obviously not helpful to my friend. The daughter, DH and I, and other friends, could come help for short periods of time, but obviously not for weeks on end. Can anybody recommend an agency that sends out nice, reliable people who could help my friend and her MIL? I'm not sure what her financial situation is, but it seems to me that that is the way to explore, at least. Thanks, Hadass. -- Hadass Eviatar Winnipeg, Canada http://www.superhwy.net/~eviatar To do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy G-d. Micah 6:8. Guest guest
Although a hospice isn't necessary at this point, I would recommend contacting one for information on other support agencies.
