Guest guest
It's funny, I would never consider PBS to be commercial free- especially with the sometimes seemingly endless list of sponsors for some shows and the list of show-related products available. I'm glad that my daughter learns things like the alphabet at school (daycare) in a more personal way. This new wave of interactive TV (eg. Dora & Blues Clues) seems a bit freaky to me, to tell the truth. And I'm overjoyed that she finds non-TV ways of entertaining herself when I want to get something done independently. (It's always very interesting to see what she has created while I've been busy.....) Although I'm sure TV makes less of a (albeit well-intentioned) mess. But I'm not going to take credit for her attitudes. She has been exposed to plenty of TV in her day. She just prefers to turn it off and do other things. She also refuses to eat dairy products. So this 2 year old is a great role model for me.
