Vegetarian School Lunch Resolution Passes in California

On Monday, June 16, California passed State Resolution ACR16 asking School Food

Services to provide vegetarian alternatives at school lunches. It passed in the

California Senate by a vote of 23-8. For more information, see Project Healthy

Advocating for healthy school lunches that will

give ALL kids and their planet a brighter future.

 

 

 

 

Through the initial efforts of PTA moms calling their plan " Project Healthy

Beginnings, " a coalition of parents, health authorities, environmentalists, and

animal advocates is growing throughout California in order to make their voices

heard for the rights of all California kids: the right to a comprehensive and

balanced health education experience that supports the American values of choice

and inclusion for all children – in the classroom and the cafeteria. Learn more
