That is the same situation that I am in. I am vegetarian and very

passionately want my daughter to be understand and be vegetarian,

too. But, her father is a meat-eater and though we never have it at

home (I refuse to buy or cook it), I'm thinking that when she gets

older and sees him eating it at restaurants, she will want a bite,

too :( I've contemplated NEVER going out to eat LOL But, I know

it'll happen eventually. Right now, he basically goes along with me,

but I know he is the type that will give in if she asks for it.

However I have explained how important it is to me and he really

enjoys my vegetarian cooking. I keep hoping that she just won't like

it because I've already decided that she should be allowed to choose

for herself WHEN she is old enough to understand what she is doing.

My biggest fear is that grandparents and/or dad might encourage her

to eat meat and THAT will really tick me off :P I wish that everyone

could understand how terrible it is to eat other living beings :(

This is basically like a religion to me and I get really upset when

people don't respect it as I try to respect theirs.

I look forward to seeing how we do in our similar situations :)

Take care,

Michelle
