Guest guest
That's the best news i've heard all year so far. When I became preg in Jan my then doctor told me not to get my hopes up about breastfeeding. Then I mc so there was really no reason to dwell on the issue. Now We're ttc again w/PCOS a new doctor and both my dh and myself in school. This is going to be some year! Thank you for the encouragement. Free online calendar with sync to Outlook. Guest guest
When the time comes, La Leche League can really be of help with nursing after breast reduction *if* you encounter any struggles. I've heard about women who had serious breast reduction surgeries whose ducts regenerated with the first baby and became fully functioning. Our bodies *want* to do this and will take whatever path possible to make it happen if we try. Good luck!! Lucy Sonya Parker <spjparker wrote: That's the best news i've heard all year so far. Most moms who bf after reduction have better luck with the ABS as it delivers the supp while stimulating mom to make milk. A bottle does not do this and can cause nipple pref or confusion. Here are some links for the ABS's www.lact-aid.com (this is the one I used) Here is the link for the SNS by Medela http://www.medela.com/NewFiles/specialtyfdg.html#sns scroll down to find SNS. Supp is your own pumped milk, donor milk or formula. Some bfars do bf w/o supp but that is the exception, most bfars have to supp. It depends on so many variables. If you email me privately I have a whole bunch of resources I can share with you, including a wonderful list of ladies that are all bfaring= " breastfeeding after reduction " It's a wonderful place for support and info. One of our " bfars " wrote a book about it, a great book published through LLL. Email me, I'm anxious to share this info with you. vegibrgr ~~~Mitzi, Domestic Goddess
