Guest guest
Hi everyone. As a pre-emptive strike, I'm teaching my 3.5 year old dd about the vegetarian food pyramid (she's in a non-veg preschool) and I wanted to make some comparisons for her. She's well-versed on what plants " need " to grow, but I also want to show her what some other animals need and use it as a comparison to what people need. We're also making a collage-type giant food pyramid on poster board for the refrigerator. My problem is that I don'tknow what other animals need. What do giraffes " need " to be healthy? Giraffe chow? I have no clue! Does anyone know of any web sites that could give me this info in a way that is understandable to a pre-schooler? I don't wantinfo on micro-nutrients, just basic info. ( " Cows need grass and water and chocolate, " or whatever.) Thanks, Carol mom to Lucia, 3.
Guest guest
Carol, here's an idea; why not try the vegetarian pet food company websites?Maybe just search google under that heading, also i know Halo is the man=me of one pet food company that promotes veg living for animals, and i bet if you emailed thaem there are some people in the company that have researched animal nutrition extensively. Just a thought. Love, Natalie Joy & her boys ccl [ccl] Wednesday, May 07, 2003 2:06 PM animal food pyramids? Hi everyone.
