Lentil and Garlic Pate tasty spread

I serve this with mini toasts or crackers. Also

good as a sandwich spread.

 

Lentil and Garlic Pate

 

1 1/2 cups cooked lentil or 1 1/2 cups canned (drained)

1 sweet onion, chopped

4 cloves garlic, finely minced

6 tsps. margarine

1 tsp. black pepper

pinch of salt

water if necessary

1/2 tsp. vinegar

 

In a large saucepan saute onion and garlic in margarine

until soft but not brown. Season with salt & pepper.

Add lentil and warm through. Place mixture into food

processor, fit with the metal chopping blade. Process

until smooth, add a water if needed.

Add vinegar and pulse until combined.

Serve pate at room temperature with crackers or toasts.

Appeals to all. Serves 6 to 8 guests.
