Mexican Food Store ..Alarm!!

My mortar and pestal hunt turned into quite an adventure. The owner of

the store had not yet arrived to open so an employee decided to use his

key. We entered the darkened store and immediately the audio alarm

sounded for the whole neighborhood to hear. *Warning motion Alarm

Warning*!!! over and over. I decided that it was not in my best

interest to wait for the police. I had visions of them arriving with

guns drawn and throwing me to the ground and the video on the evening

news. Tomorrow I will try the store again but only if the sign on the

door says " open " ..LOL

LOL After that ordeal they should give you a mortar and pestle. That is an

expensive one they are selling. I see small inexpensive ones here all the time.

Try the thrift shop and even a cooking store might have a ceramic one for a

good price.

When you go back to the store chheck out there spices. I find really good

deals on fresh spices at the middle eastern store and also the Latin markets.

Be careful out there...........watch for " Open " signs.
