Guest guest
Miso Soup 2 medium onions 10 cloves garlic some ground ginger 8 TBS of miso paste 9 cups of water some soy sauce oil baked tofu Cover the bottom of a cold soup pot with oil, add onions and garlic turn the stove on to low and sweat the onions and garlic. This brings out there flavor. Once the onions are soft add the ginger. Saute until onions have that clear look. Add 9 cups of water and bring to a boil. Add the miso paste and soy sauce simmer. THis part takes a couple of hours so the flavors can blend. When the soup is done add the baked tofu. Baked Tofu I cake pressed tofu some soy sauce oil garlic powder ginger powder water combine the soy sauce, oil, garlic, ginger and a little water slice the tofu into 1/4 " slices pour marinade over tofu and allow to sit. Bake at 350 degree oven until done. cut up and add to soup. I also cooked up some noodles but do not add until ready to eat. I will be bringing this to work and having it in the mornings instead of coffee or tea.
