grinding flax seed omega 3 flax seed shelf life ?????

zMine goes right in the freezer. I'm not sure but the shelf life isn't

long until frozen or refrigerated. Maybe another member will know

for sure but I believe yours is probably too old now.

Some one gave me a 5 lb bag of flaxseed and I just shoved it in the

corner of my kitchen in it's bag/box. I had no idea what to do with

it, and since it was tucked out of the way, I had forgotten it until

this subject came up.

-I store mine in the frig.(recycled glass bottle) but the seed is on

the shelf at the health food store and not refrigerated . There are

no instructions on the pkg. about storage. Mine is organic bulk. The

oil must be refrigerated per instructions on the bottle . Best to

keep it in cool storage if you are not sure.
