Guest guest
Thanks! I like my beer like I like my chocolate; the darker the better. And a chocolate stout that actually tastes like chocolate?! Delicious! We have a great little beer store that carries all these hard-to-find beers at a pretty reasonable price. The Rogues are only offered in the big bottles here. Anyway, I just had to look up microbreweries in Iowa for you and, after you have given birth, you can let us know how it is: http://www.millstreambrewing.com/ -Erin , " organic_homestead " <organic_homestead> wrote: > > Welcome to the group, Erin. Guest guest
--- I was actually going to suggest this myself : ). when hubby home here for Christmas on leave, he picked up some different lagers for fairly reasonable at our healthfood store--it has a very nice beer/wine section that isn't terribly priced. anyhoo, he picked up the variety pack of lagers from Millstream Brewing. their oatmeal stout is really good. I used it in the gingerbread recipe posted the other day. it had coffee undertones and was actually quite good. I didn't see it when I was in Ames at Wheatsfield but they might order it : ). take care : )............... Anne
Guest guest
Oh, I've been wanting to go to the Amana Colonies since moving here, they are about 3 hrs away. I think they have a Spring festival out there so we'll have to take a little day trip. Living in Germany for a year I have a special place in my heart for good german beer and I know these guys can do it right! Thanks for the link, Erin.
