Maybe that would be of help.

My routine:

I start the morning with a bowl of oatmeal topped with whatever fruit is

on hand, a glass of orange juice, and a can of tomato juice for the

road.

For a late morning pick-me-up I usually eat a granola bar, or a yogurt,

or some grapes or other fruit.

For lunch I usually take a dish of what I had the previous evening, such

as spaghetti, chile, or a platter of a given green and some sort of

whole wheat pasta, etc.

For an afternoon pick-me-up I will have an apple, or a tomato, yes, I

eat it like an apple

For dinner I will have whatever Emma creates for me. She is my nanny,

housekeeper, and new friend as well. When I get some time I will type

the recipes she has in her recipe box. It's a box with index cards

separated by colored dividers. It is a treasure I tell you! :laughs: She

will usually make a casserole, or a meal of vegetables complementing a

main portion that is usually something special. For example, sautéed

spinach, green beans, brown rice, and stuffed cabbages.

I don't eat anything after dinner. I have an occasional cup of tea, or I

go all out and have some hot chocolate or some cider, sometimes I may

indulge in some hot buttered cider with or without rum. (not too often)

My routine on a workday:

Breakfast: a slice of organic whole wheat or multigrain toast with

peanut butter and a glass of organic oj with calcium.

Lunch: either a tofu salad on whole wheat, or one of the Moosewood

organic soups from Finagle a Bagel--I typically get the Hungarian Veg

Noodle, as that's the only non-dairy one I've seen thus far.

Snack: GNC is around the corner from me, so I get a strawberry smoothie. :)

Dinner: This has the most variety, as I eat out often and attend

potlucks. I've gone to Japanese food places and had vegetable udon

with a start of miso soup, salad with rice and steam veggies, et

cetera.

As much as I only eat fish and eggs, I rarely do, so my meals wind up

becoming vegan.

Oh, you guys are so great! this helps sooo much! So i guess today i will have

porriage for breakfast, morroccan soup for lunch, hummus with pita for snack,

and chilli for dinner. Thank you all so much! Now I have some foods to work

with. and some ones to try!

BTW: I would love to get the recipe for the spicy garbanzo beans!

(today I had strawberry and kiwi) and soya milk. Sometimes i will have porridge

again with soy milk and with some fruit, I've also been known to have porridge

with raspberries, soya milk and soya cream for a treat. Other breakfasts I have

sometimes at the weekend are:- vegan pancakes with maple syrup and fruit,

scrambled tofu and cottage fries, french toast made with pancake batter instead

of eggs.

have it with some fruit. This may not work well if you have to go to work every

day and have nowhere to heat it up, but pasta from the night before makes a good

pasta lunch salad. Hummus with pitta bread or bagels is another lunch idea.

Stir fry with a handful of cashew nuts or some kind of soy substitute sandwich

are other ideas. My husband takes a round of salad sandwiches and a round of

peanut butter sandwiches to work everyday. Sometimes he will also take fruit or

a vegan choc chip cookie or vegan cake. Myself, I would probably take a snack

of pumpkin seeds if I was taking a lunch to work.

onions, peppers, red kidney beans, green lentils served with brown rice, pitta

bread and fresh avocado and coriander. Tomorrow is pasta with a homemade tomato

sauce with flageolet beans and garlic ciabatta. Wednesday is sweet potato,

butternut squash and chick pea curry with brown basmati rice and poppodums.

Thursday is using the rest of the sweet potatoes and butternut squash in a soup

with red lentils with salad and homemade bread. Quite often we would have a

fruit crumble or something similar on a soup day. Friday is spicy chick peas

with basmati rice and onion salad. At the weekends we usually have something

tofu based like a tofu tikka masala or stir fried tofu with ginger, green chilli

and sugar snap peas or a vegetable stir fry with cashew nuts.

many times a day you eat)? I am still trying to get into a regular routine of

vegan food. So far i have been eating ALOT of fruit, some grains, and some

chocolate. I would like to see what other people eat on a daily basis so that i

can build a normal breakfast-lunch-dinner menu for myself. I think ive got the

snack part figured out :). I would love to see like a page of someones " food

log " , or food diary if anyone keeps one. Or if you could just tell me everything

you ate yesterday, that would work!
