Guest guest
I have been a vegetarian so long and cooked for so many years that I give a cookbook a chance but everything I have made was just not good. I have onkly posted the vegan eggplant recipe and it's decent but not 5 star. I have to give my honest opinion, those two books suck..........LOL Now, Simply Heavenly, Passionate Palate, Passionate Vegetarian, Garden of Vegan, A Taste of Mexico, Moosewood, Tassajara, and a ton of others have such wonderful recipes. I won't spend time and money to stand in the kitchen and cook out of books that don't have good results and I certainly gave those books the test. I even had other people taste the dishes only to say the same thing. Yuck! I have her Vegan Vittles and there are some decent recipes in that book so I don't understand what went wrong with the Uncheese books. Donna, I peruse Amazon and have read consistently bad reviews of both those cookbooks. Which is a downright shame, because her Vegan Sourcebook is fabulous! I think I'll just stick to ordering vegan " cheese " from www.followyourheart.com, which has been highly recommended on different vegan sites. Everybody says to stay away from the Cheddar flavor, but that the Nacho and Mozzarella are both very good. Just FYI. :>) I'm glad to get somebody I know sayin' these books aren't any good; thank you for chimin' in on 'em! Bron Photos Ring in the New Year with Photo Calendars. Guest guest
I hear ya, Donna, loud and clear. :>) I have Garden of Vegan and the sequel--whose name I can't recall just now--on my Amazon wishlist, also! And there's one on vegan desserts by Lois Somebody, that sounds yummy...
