Guest guest
Thank you, Bron, for the compliment regarding my name. My mother, German and French, decided that we should be an Irish family (dad was Irish). Hence, we were Patrick, Kathleen and Colleen. LOL What is your daughter's first name? Guest guest
You're welcome. :>) My daughter's first name is Paige. Paige Colleen. Put together so it loosely means " Little servant girl of the Lord " ...:>) She is Scots-Irish as well as I am. My name is Welsh. My mother found it in a book, How Green Was My Valley, by Richard Llewellyn, just before I was born. Bronwen was the heroine of the story about a Christian family of Welsh coalminers--a loose autobiography, really. Then ten years later, my Tennessean granddaddy started to do the first genealogy of the family history and discovered that, lo and behold, we had some Welsh ancestry as well as Scots-Irish! So...my name really fit in then. <g> It means " fair lady " in Welsh. That's probably more than you wanted to know! Guest guest
I love both the names. And I do appreciate the information about the names! I am curious though, I know Colleen means girl, but does Paige add the " of the Lord " part of the interpretation? Colleen (snippet) My daughter's first name is Paige. Paige Colleen.
