OT dragons - Colleen the lukcy 13

#13 is your number for sure.

I'm not sure if that's a lucky number for me or not. I like to think it is

since I was 6 lanes over in the fast lane and my truck caught on fire on 9-13 3

years ago. Lucky thing is, I got out before I turned into a Krispy Kritter so

maybe I should appreciate #13 also.

 

Speaking of collections......here's a funny one out of many. I had this

credit card fraud and tracked this guy down, he was drunk on the phone and told

me he used a stolen credit card to purchase one of our computers so his kid

would have a nice birthday gift......it gets better.

3 weeks later I get a call from the police dept. asking if I'm Donna, I said

yes. The cop tells me he's got a prisoner in there on a DUI and he allowed him

one call and he wanted to talk to me since I was his only friend.......LOL I

told the cop about his credit card fraud and said keep that guy there. The cop

laughed so hard, he said it's pretty sad when you are allowed only one call and

it's to the bill collector and you would call that your only friend, I'd be

drunk too.

I did a stint as collections. I granted an extension, one frigid winter day, to

a lady who said she couldn't come and pay her bill because her neighbors skipped

town and moved out in the middle of the night and their fridge fell off their

truck and was blocking her driveway. And it was way to cold to walk or bus to

our office. (out of 50 employees, there were only 5 of us that made it in that

" snow " day) I gave her the extension just for sheer originality! LOL

A Gemini/Dragon is a powerful combination. Yes, the Dragon is one of the

Chinese calendar.
