Sorry to hear you had such a bad experience with Freecycle. I'm a

co-moderator for the one in our town and our rules are quite simple:

keep it free, legal and appropriate for all ages.

I suppose when the lists get huge (such as in Portland, OR), the it

might seem overwhelming and complicated. They are actually working on

becoming an official non-profit group with their own site, getting

away from . That will be nice, too.

The one we belonged to in Orlando was GREAT also. I guess it just depends on

what quality of leadership (or lack thereof) you have. Sorry to hear you had

a bad experience too! We're lookin' forward to gittin' involved with the

Aiken/Augusta Freecycle group, as soon as we have anything to give away,

that is. <VBG>
