We always ate this in sandwiches.

I don't know if this sounds close to you.

German Sandwich Filler

 

1 cans sauerkraut (large cans), rinsed and drained good

1 small onion chopped

1/2 cup ketchup

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 can chunky cranberry sauce

1 teaspoon caraway seeds.

 

You can put in casserole dish and bake for 45 mins on 350 or you can put in

pan on stove or in crockpot.

Serve on good type of rustic bread. We put Swiss cheese on

the sandwich also.

I don't know if that's the recipe Chupa is looking for but Sandy posted one I

will try. I'm going to put horseradish on the bread too....Donna
