Guest guest Posted December 31, 2005 Report Share Posted December 31, 2005 No, my WOK is not electric. It is heavy and is metal with a wooden handle and what feels like a thin aluminum cover. I am not sure what metal it is made of. But, it just doesn't feel safe to use, because when I wipe a paper towel around the inside, the paper towel comes away rust colored. I don't think eating rust sounds healthy; but hey, maybe it is! Wonder what type of metal yours is made of. Is it electric? I can give you more info on my wok when I'm home. I do use mine quite a bit.
