As much fun and easier than making butter. *Whole*(not 2% or skim) milk in a porcelin/stainless cooking pan. Heat to almost boiling. Add a few drops of white vinegar. You will have to experiment with this but it is too fun. Start out with a small amt. to get the hang of it. The curds will almost immediatlely seperate from the whey.
