Guest guest
We make tamles in our electric steamer and we've had good luck with it. We just have simple 2 level steamer. My husband converted a recipe he found on allrecipes to make them veggie. I imagine a bamboo steamer could work out just fine too. I have an Excalibur Dehydrator. They are expensive!! They are very large and have square trays. I feel it was well worth the price. The company has been around for about 30 years. I bought a 5 tray model but they make bigger ones. I don't own stock or know anyone in the company, I'm just a happy customer. http://www.excaliburdehydrator.com/
Guest guest
I have a L'equip dehydrator with 5 trays. It does the job fine for me. Not as expensive as the Excalibur, but more within my budget. I would suggest to get one with temp control. Some things I crank it up, like drying bread for crumbs or stuffing. Some things I dry under 115 degrees so as not to destroy enzymes, like fruit or veggies. It's a whole new world with one, and I'm very glad to have it. Lynn in CA.
