Guest guest
lol, i just open cans of black eyed peas (watch out...some have meat in them) and heat them up! i really like them with their juices over cornbread...sprinkled with a little bit of cheddar. the greens make a good side for this. another way i like to eat black eyed peas is a dish my dad made up and he called tor-pea-does...they are wonderful and easy. heat up cooked black eyed peas, add a strained spoonful to a warmed corn tortilla, top with cheese and salsa and sour cream if you like. i like to also add pickled jalapenos to mine. i eat about 4 of these and they are perfect for lunch (and quick easy dinner). susie --- Melissa <mapalicka wrote: > Now that I live in the south, I thought it'd be fun > to make greens > and black-eyed peas for New Year's Day.
