New Years food ideas ? food traditions

i haven't heard of lentils....but it makes sense.

 

my family has always had black eyed peas on new year's

day....for good luck. i remember i didn't like b

e-peas when i was a child, so i would only eat

12...one for each month (now i love them!). this may

be a southern thing. we also eat greens on new years

day to represent the riches that will come in the next

year (didn't work for us in 2005! ha ha).

what traditions do y'all have?
