Guest guest
This here is my reply to digest#332. *s* These pancakes are so filling and delicious. They oddly have a very buttery flavor too, even though there is no butter in the recipe. Try them and see for yourself. Oat Pancakes 1 cup quick cooking oats 1 cup flour 2 Tbs sugar 2 tsp baking pwdr 1 tsp salt 2 eggs, lightly beaten 1 1/2 cups milk 1/4 cup vegetable oil 1 tsp lemon juice In a mixing bowl, combine oats, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Make a well in the center. Combine eggs, milk, oil, and lemon juice; pour into well and stir until just moistened. Pour batter by 1/4 cupfuls onto hot griddle; turn when bubbles form on top of pancake. Cook until second side is golden brown. Yield: 12 pancakes. ~ pt ~ How is it possible that a being with such sensitive jewels as the eyes, such enchanted musical instruments as ears, and such a fabulous arabesque of nerves as the brain can experience itself as anything less than god? ~ Alan Watts, author & lecturer
